Job summary

The University of Georgia is seeking a Global Education Advisor II in Athens to support international student mobility, advise students, and promote education abroad opportunities. You will implement risk management procedures and work closely with faculty and staff across campus to deliver programs worldwide.

Responsibilities include one-on-one advising, workshop delivery, and coordination of education abroad events, with occasional after-hours work for programs and fairs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
  • 2 years of professional experience preferred.
  • Experience with study abroad or international education programs is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Meets with students for scheduled advising appointments and walk-in hours.
  • Evaluates course equivalences for study abroad transfer credit and updates the articulation database.
  • Advises on faculty-led programs, affiliate and consortia programs, USG programs, external programs, and work/volunteer opportunities abroad; directs students to appropriate advisor.
  • Organizes annual Education Abroad fairs and related events; promotes opportunities on campus and beyond.
  • Supervises student staff and assists with training Junior Advisors.
