Job summary

International Medical Relief (IMR) invites you to join our Global Disaster Area Response Team in a full-time internship based in the United States. You will assist with field briefings, participant onboarding, and deployment logistics for international projects, working onsite in Denver and Loveland, CO.

The role requires 2+ years in international affairs and logistics, a bachelor’s degree, and strong written/verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant fields.
• 2+ years of work experience in international affairs and logistics.
• Nonprofit experience is desirable.
• Passion for international humanitarian relief.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leaders in assigned countries to identify communities in need of service projects and medical team deployments.
• Coordinate hosting logistics for trips within assigned areas, considering volunteer skill sets.
• Schedule Zoom meetings with interpreters, manage emails, and use Whatsapp for logistics tasking.
• Create comprehensive Field Briefings with health data, country background, NGO history, and deployment details.
• Orient and onboard international participants to deployment processes.
• Participate in reporting of measurable indicators and mission reports for deployments.
