NBA is seeking a Director of Social Publishing & Platforms in Secaucus, NJ, to lead platform strategy, publishing, audience engagement, and content optimization across the league’s social, digital, and emerging platforms. The role requires 8+ years in publishing and strong leadership, with a focus on scalable processes, AI-enabled workflows, and cross-functional collaboration.

A remote option of one day per week is available, with a hybrid work setup and opportunities to impact global content

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading publishing, social media strategy, and platform management for a sports league or media brand.
• Deep knowledge of social platforms, algorithms, and content optimization.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and develop scalable publishing processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media, Marketing, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead the NBA’s Social Publishing & Platforms function and drive platform strategy.
• Oversee day-to-day publishing across social, digital, and emerging platforms.
• Develop publishing standards, playbooks, and optimization practices.
• Collaborate with Content Planning, Game Night Publishing, Content Creation, Vertical Content Strategy, and more.
