The National Basketball Association (NBA) is seeking a Senior Video Editor for Vertical Platforms to craft social-first, vertical, real-time content across NBA platforms. You will lead storytelling, pacing, music, and sound design to elevate game moments and league stories.

You will collaborate with producers and platform owners, guide junior editors, and help shape the visual identity of programs while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment in-office in Secaucus, NJ.

Qualifications

Experience editing social-first short-form content for a sports brand or media company.
Proficiency in editing, compositing, audio, and color to deliver polished content.
Ability to craft vertical content for platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels.

Responsibilities

Edit social-first vertical and real-time video content with strong storytelling.
Provide real-time game coverage for nightly and tentpole programming.
Collaborate with producers and editors to select compelling moments.
Finish and composite NBA programming using non-linear editors at a high level.
Create content for vertical platforms (TikTok, Reels, Shorts, Stories).
Provide creative input on the look and feel of programs and franchises.
Mentor, train, and supervise junior editorial staff.
Maintain workflows, quality control, and delivery specs.
Manage multiple projects with tight deadlines and high quality.
Incorporate feedback from leadership and platform partners efficiently.
