Job summary

National Basketball Association (NBA) is seeking a flexible contributor to the Social & Digital Content team in New Jersey. The role focuses on identifying, creating, distributing, and publishing content across NBA social and digital platforms worldwide, reaching fans globally.

The ideal candidate excels at creating content for vertical video platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Snap Spotlight, and monitors podcasts and NBA discussions to stay ahead of trends.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience creating for social media platforms.
• Experience turning around content in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of social media platforms, formats and what engages on them.
• Strong knowledge of basketball and the NBA, its teams and its players.
• Strong problem-solving skills with an interest in content workflows.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the NBA Social/Digital team’s on-site coverage strategy.
• Assist with content planning and development of content about players, teams, games, events and more across all NBA Social/Digital platforms
• Coordinate with publishers and platform leads on content ideas, trends, and plans to ensure an efficient content pipeline
• Maintain coverage tracking docs and potentially tracking data
• Assist in refining on-site workflows
• Research trends and opportunities for vertical storytelling content through on-site content
