Lilly’s Global Facilities Delivery (GFD) organization seeks a Design Lead with a strong background in chemical or mechanical engineering to drive design delivery for capital projects. You will coordinate with PMs, A/E firms, and design specialists to ensure compliant, timely design outcomes across all phases.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical) with minimum 5 years in pharma or API networks.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Lilly will not sponsor work authorization.
• Strong project management and leadership capabilities; ability to coordinate with multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the identification and application of Engineering Design Standards, Functional Standards, Specifications and Regulatory requirements.
• Oversee overall design delivery for capital projects and coordinate design activities with the Project Manager throughout all design phases.
• Direct the development of design requirements and assist in maintaining the design schedule to meet project needs.
• Participate in selecting A/E firms and coordinate with them to develop earned value progress systems.
• Ensure design integrity by verifying alignment with approved intent through collaboration with design firms, end users, and technical centers.
• Support value engineering, develop SOPs/work instructions, and review design-related invoices and KPI outcomes.
