Job summary

Red Hat is seeking a senior data engineer with a strong background in data architecture, ETL/ELT development, and data governance to design scalable analytics platforms. The role includes leading a global team and ensuring data reliability across critical reporting cycles.

The successful candidate will architect and optimize data warehouses (Oracle, SQL Server, Redshift, Snowflake) and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver predictive insights and robust data models for business intelligence

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent.
• 9+ years in data architecture, ETL/ELT, data modeling, governance or data warehousing.
• 3+ years in data integration, API-based data engineering and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Develop data solutions using SQL and Python to transform, validate, and analyze complex datasets.
• Provide technical leadership for a global team of Data Engineers and Business Analysts; conduct code reviews and mentor staff.
• Serve as escalation point for complex data issues and ensure data reliability during critical reporting cycles.
• Architect and support data warehousing using Oracle, SQL Server, Redshift, Snowflake or similar platforms; develop data pipelines and SCDs.
• Enforce data governance and audit controls for data integrity in reporting and financial data.
• Support enterprise reporting by ensuring data processing, validation, and reconciliation across systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Evolve data frameworks to support planning, forecasting, and changing business needs.
