Job summary

Red Hat, LLC is seeking a senior Data Engineer lead to design scalable data architectures and manage global data teams. You will build ETL/ELT pipelines, govern data quality, and support enterprise reporting and forecasting across platforms like Oracle, SQL Server, Redshift, and Snowflake.

The role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership, mentoring engineers and analysts while ensuring data integrity and performance during critical reporting cycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; 9+ years experience in data engineering or related role OR 11+ years experience in the job offered or related role.
• Experience in data architecture and scalable system design
• ETL/ELT pipeline development and optimization
• Data governance, data quality frameworks and audit controls
• Data warehousing
• Data engineering with increasing ownership and delivery responsibility

Responsibilities

• Develop data solutions using SQL and Python to transform, validate, and analyze complex datasets, enabling accurate and timely insights.
• Manage and provide technical leadership for a global team of Data Engineers and Business Analysts, including task prioritization, code reviews, and professional development while ensuring adherence to engineering best practices and standards.
• Serve as a primary escalation point for complex data issues, ensuring timely resolution of data discrepancies and maintaining high data reliability during critical reporting and operational cycles.
• Architect and support complex data warehousing solutions (e.g., Oracle,SQL Server, Amazon Redshift, Snowflake or similar platforms), including development of data pipelines and historical data tracking structures such as Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD).
• Establish and enforce data governance, data quality standards, and audit controls to ensure integrity, consistency, and compliance of data used for business and financial reporting.
• Support enterprise financial and operational reporting by ensuring accurate data processing, validation, and reconciliation across systems.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, supporting key initiatives such as customer lifecycle analysis, performance tracking, and forecasting.
• Contribute to the evolution of data frameworks and processes to support planning, forecasting, and evolving business needs, including adapting data models to reflect changing business rules and structures.
