Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Herndon, VA is seeking a Technical Program Manager to own the communication, coordination, and execution of a multi-year program vision for Data Center Maintenance & Tooling.

You will work with senior leaders to define strategy, requirements, and global standards for liquid cooling and infrastructure across AWS data centers. You will collaborate with field engineering, product teams, and other internal groups to drive operational readiness for new deployments, while

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams.
• Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.
• 5+ years of analytical, quantitative, communication, and presentations experience.
• Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
• 5+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage operational relationships with support teams and internal operations business partners to drive increased performance.
• Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills and ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
• Effectively interact and collaborate with Customers, Project Sponsors, Technical Product Managers and multiple internal teams to define and deliver complex solutions.
• Proactively recognize and drive opportunities to simplify processes.
• Lead the effective and efficient delivery of large, complex technical projects and programs.
