Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Account Manager to lead relationships with Data Center Operators and drive high-density deployments. You will coordinate with global account managers, negotiate complex terms, and ensure scalable, cost-efficient arrangements that support customer growth.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Data Center Account Management or in a related field or its equivalent.
• Strong negotiation skills for complex agreements including NNN leasing structures.
• Solid knowledge of the Internet, Interconnection space and Data Center marketplace.
• Excellent data analysis skills and ability to manage complex technical projects.

Responsibilities

• Developing relationships with Data Center Operators to meet Akamai's needs for deploying high density servers
• Organizing regular business reviews with Data Centers to plan upcoming projects
• Analyzing the Data Center landscape to identify the right technical and commercial terms
• Working closely with existing and new Partners and Vendors to identify cost effective business relationships and then executing those agreements
• Managing contract negotiations to ensure Akamai's platforms can scale efficiently and support our customers increasing demands
• Ensuring capacity is upgraded in a timely/effective manner by working closely with internal and external provisioning teams
