Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Account Manager to lead relationships with data center operators and drive strategic deployments across regions.

You will define strategies and cost-saving measures to improve performance while ensuring Akamai meets growth and sustainability targets. You will coordinate with partners and vendors, manage contract negotiations, and work with internal provisioning teams to ensure capacity upgrades happen on time.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant experience in Data Center Account Management or related field.
• Excellent commercial and contractual negotiation skills, incl. NNN leasing structures & powered shell transactions.
• Solid knowledge of Internet, interconnection space, and Data Center marketplace.
• Strong data analysis skills and ability to manage complex technical projects.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills and ability to negotiate partnerships within technical and business constraints.

Responsibilities

• Developing relationships with Data Center Operators to meet Akamai's needs for deploying high density servers.
• Organizing regular business reviews with Data Centers to plan upcoming projects.
• Analyzing the Data Center landscape to identify the right technical and commercial terms.
• Working with Partners and Vendors to identify cost effective relationships and execute those agreements.
• Managing contract negotiations to ensure Akamai's platforms can scale and meet customer demand.
• Ensuring capacity upgrades are delivered in a timely and effective manner with provisioning teams.
