Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Account Manager to lead relationships with Data Center Operators, define strategy, and drive cost savings while ensuring scalable platforms.

You will collaborate with global Account Managers, conduct regular business reviews, and coordinate with partners to secure favorable terms and timely capacity upgrades across diverse geographies.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Data Center Account Management or related field.
• Strong commercial and contractual negotiation skills for complex terms including NNN leasing structures & powered shell transactions.
• Solid knowledge of Internet, Interconnection space and Data Center marketplace.
• Excellent data analysis skills to manage complex technical projects.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation with technical and business constraints.

Responsibilities

• Developing relationships with Data Center Operators to meet Akamai's needs for deploying high density servers.
• Organizing regular business reviews with Data Centers to plan upcoming projects.
• Analyzing the Data Center landscape to identify the right technical and commercial terms.
• Working closely with existing and new Partners and Vendors to identify cost effective business relationships and then executing those agreements.
• Managing contract negotiations to ensure Akamai's platforms can scale efficiently and support our customers increasing demands.
• Ensuring capacity is upgraded in a timely/effective manner by working closely with internal and external provisioning teams.
