Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Account Manager to manage relationships with Data Center Operators and lead strategic, cross‑functional initiatives. You will partner with global account teams to define strategy, optimize terms, and ensure scalable capacity for Akamai's edge infrastructure.

You will analyze markets, negotiate complex leases, and drive collaboration with vendors to deliver cost savings and performance improvements across diverse geographies and environments.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant experience and a related Bachelor's degree.
• Excellent commercial and contractual negotiation skills including complex structures.
• Solid knowledge of the Internet, interconnection space and Data Center marketplace.
• Strong data analysis skills and ability to manage complex technical projects.
• Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills and ability to negotiate partnerships within technical and business constraints.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with Data Center Operators to meet Akamai's needs for deploying high density servers.
• Organize regular business reviews with Data Center Operators to plan upcoming projects.
• Analyze the Data Center landscape to identify technical and commercial terms.
• Collaborate with Partners and Vendors to identify cost-effective relationships and execute agreements.
• Lead contract negotiations to ensure Akamai's platforms can scale for customers' growing demands.
• Ensure capacity upgrades are planned and executed in a timely manner with provisioning teams.
