Job summary

Akamai Technologies is seeking a Data Center Account Manager to lead relationships with Data Center Operators and drive strategic deployments of high-density servers.

You will collaborate with global Account Managers to optimize terms, negotiate contracts, and coordinate with provisioning teams to ensure capacity upgrades meet demand.

The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree, plus strong negotiation, data analysis, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Have 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Data Center Account Management or in a related field or its equivalent.
• Excellent commercial and contractual negotiation skills, including creative ideas for complex negotiation situations such as NNN leasing structures & powered shell transactions.
• Solid knowledge and work experience on the Internet, Interconnection space and Data Center marketplace.
• Possess excellent data analysis skills and the ability to manage complex technical projects.
• Demonstrate excellent organization skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Possess excellent communication skills and a desire to negotiate partnerships within technical and business constraints.

Responsibilities

• Developing relationships with Data Center Operators to meet Akamai's needs for deploying high density servers
• Organizing regular business reviews with Data Centers to plan upcoming projects
• Analyzing the Data Center landscape to identify the right technical and commercial terms
• Working closely with existing and new Partners and Vendors to identify cost effective business relationships and then executing those agreements
• Managing contract negotiations to ensure Akamai's platforms can scale efficiently and support our customers increasing demands
• Ensuring capacity is upgraded in a timely/effective manner by working closely with internal and external provisioning teams
