Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in the United States, VA Aldie is seeking a technology manager to lead a diverse data center operations team responsible for cloud infrastructure across locations.

You will set strategy, mentor staff, sponsor projects, and drive hardware/network diagnostics with on-call rotation. The role requires 2+ years of people management, 4+ years IT experience, and willingness to travel to active data center sites.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of IT experience or a relevant degree combined with experience.
• 2+ years of people management experience.
• 2+ years of operations and on-call support for data center facilities.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and assign tickets to data center technicians and operators.
• Lead and evaluate performance of a diverse data center operations team across locations.
• Develop career paths and manage staffing levels in internal tools.
• Recruit and train data technicians to ensure staffing adequacy.
• Manage day-to-day data center operations including queue management and hardware logistics.
• Serve as SME across data center operations and respond to outages as call leader.
• Ensure KPIs and metrics are measured and met; drive process improvements.
