Cloudflare is seeking a Data Center Engineer to maintain the global network and work closely with SRE, Network Engineering, and deployment teams to ensure high availability across 330+ cities and 125+ countries. The role emphasizes hands-on data center and networking expertise and a proactive approach to automation—leveraging AI to streamline operations.

You will manage remote contractors, support rapid delivery of infrastructure in remote colocation facilities, and drive operational efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or MIS.
• Experience with data center and network infrastructure.
• Strong Linux systems administration and automation skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Network Engineering and SRE teams; manage remote contractors to complete data center tasks across 330+ cities and 125+ countries.
• Maintain Data Center environment operational availability.
• Leverage AI tools to automate repetitive tasks, accelerate documentation, and speed up troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Create and maintain documentation, SOPs, MOps, and related materials.
• Support and configure network infrastructure where required.
• Provide feedback to internal teams to improve internal tools and vendor partnerships.
