Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking a Data Center/Network Engineer to maintain and optimize our global infrastructure from Atlanta and other locations. You will work with SRE, Network Engineering, and deployment teams to ensure high-availability datacenters and fast, secure connectivity for millions of users.

The role emphasizes hands-on server, networking, and datacenter operations, with a focus on automation and documentation. It requires strong collaboration across time zones and remote sites.

Qualifications

• 4+ years Linux systems administration experience.
• Experience managing remote contractors.
• Familiar with data center/colocation infrastructure.
• Familiar with Jira for project management.
• Able to work across time zones and with remote locations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Network Engineering and SRE; manage remote contractors for datacenter tasks across 330+ cities and 125+ countries.
• Maintain Data Center environment operational availability.
• Leverage AI tools to automate tasks, document, and troubleshoot.
• Create and maintain documentation, SOPs, MOPs.
• Support and configure network infrastructure as needed.
• Provide feedback to internal teams and vendor partnerships.
