Job summary

Google is seeking a Network Implementation Engineer to drive deployment, maintenance, and operations of private data networks worldwide. You will collaborate with Technical Program Managers, Network Engineers, and Field Engineers to position the team for success and deliver reliable, scalable networks for Google Cloud and users globally.

The role emphasizes rapid, cost-effective network solutions and requires coordinating with vendors and internal teams across hyperscale environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in DWDM, TCP/IP, or system design operations methodology.
• Experience coordinating with field operation technicians, engineers, contractors or vendors.
• Willingness to work in a rotating shift in a network operations center.
• Fluency in English to support client relationships in this region.

Responsibilities

• Respond to network outages by diagnosing Layer 1–3 issues and initiating repairs.
• Develop workflows and systems to diagnose optical and routing issues to completion.
• Participate in 24/7 global team shift rotations.
• Provide remote support for field operations related to network repairs.
• Communicate repair status and updates to customers as needed.
