Job summary

Google Atlanta, GA, USA seeks a Network Implementation Engineer to lead deployment, maintenance, and operation of private data networks worldwide. You will collaborate with Technical Program Managers, Network Engineers, and vendors to ensure timely, high-quality installations and commissioning.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in Network/Telecom engineering and 3 years in DWDM or TCP/IP, with hands-on experience in field deployments and cross-functional communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Telecom Engineering, or related field.
• 3 years of experience in DWDM or TCP/IP or system design operations methodology.
• Experience working with field operation technicians, engineers, contractors, or vendors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee QA of installation technicians for rack, stack and installation of networking equipment.
• Test routers, optical transport equipment, and other network devices in new and existing network nodes across Google's global network.
• Generate implementation plans and provide technical leadership during deployment activities.
• Collaborate with project management, network engineering and the broader team to anticipate problems in installations (power, cooling, security, rack layout, cabling).
• Maintain and update network drawings and documentation.
