Job summary

Netflix is seeking a Data Center Deployment Engineer to manage Open Connect data center deployments worldwide. You will coordinate design, planning, and upgrades across teams and vendors to ensure capacity and performance, while developing thorough documentation and BOMs.

You will mentor teammates, drive process improvements, and troubleshoot power, networking, and fiber issues across global data centers, with travel for quarterly off-sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven project management experience with a creative, problem-solving approach.
• Ability to improve processes, coordinate cross-functional teams and vendors.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with global deployment projects and remote vendor management.
• Willingness to travel for on-site/off-site engagements and team syncs.

Responsibilities

• Project manage design, planning, deployment, and refreshing of Open Connect data center infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to orchestrate deployments and capacity.
• Produce documentation: rack elevations, power, cabling, run books, handovers.
• Create BOMs, ensure on-site materials, order non-stock items, stock planning.
• Manage remote hands vendors with clear scopes and SLA adherence.
• Lead complex network upgrades and migrations with clear communication.
• Troubleshoot networking, power, cooling, and fiber issues in data centers.
• Mentor deployment team members and stakeholders.
