Job summary

Meta's Edge & Network Services team is seeking a Network Engineer, Deployment & Support to design and deploy large-scale data center networks across multiple locations, and collaborate with software teams to build tooling for provisioning, monitoring, and operations. You will lead cross-functional projects, apply AI to improve reliability and speed, and travel 25% to 40% as required.

A Bachelor's in CS/Engineering or equivalent is required, with deep experience in TCP/IP, BGP/IS-IS, and fiber

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.
Experience applying AI to improve deployment reliability, quality, and speed.
Extensive experience designing and deploying large-scale data center networks.
Knowledge of structured cabling and fiber optic infrastructure and installation best practices.
Familiarity with data center design, construction, and commissioning processes.
Experience leading cross-functional teams on large data center projects.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to set strategic direction.
Working knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and optical transport.
Experience with enterprise and provider-level network hardware (IP + Optical).
Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Participate in design engineering and implementation of large-scale data center networks across locations.
Research, develop and deploy technologies to scale data centers and optimize deployments.
Lead strategic initiatives to drive efficiency and standardization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to develop new features.
Influence future data center and network designs for seamless integration.
Contribute to the New Product Introduction process for network infrastructure.
Partner with software teams to develop tooling for provisioning, monitoring and troubleshooting.
Create network design packages for deployment teams.
Build relationships with stakeholders and vendors.
Develop automation to drive consistency and efficiency in design, deployment, and operations.
Conduct site visits with construction and design teams to verify cabling per Meta standards.
Maintain technical reference, process and training docs.
Travel 25%–40% based on project demand.
