Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Construction Manager to lead capital build projects for AWS data centers in the Culpeper, VA area.

You will own the project scope, schedule, budget, and quality while coordinating with Operations, Networking, Controls, Security, and Commissioning teams to deliver reliable, energy-efficient facilities. The role requires daily on-site presence, close collaboration with contractors, and proactive management of cost, schedule, and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of project management in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure.
• Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct interface with construction general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and closeout phases.
• Conduct negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids with detail and accuracy.
• Create construction project scope and RFPs.
• Financial analysis of construction.
• Manage construction projects to increase data center resiliency.
• Review constructability of electrical and mechanical designs.
• Manage construction documents including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and invoicing.
• Quality control of construction activities.
• Record and report key construction metrics to the team.
