Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Construction Manager to join a creative, diverse team building industry-leading data centers.

You will be on-site daily, overseeing electrical and mechanical systems, driving cost, schedule, and quality while coordinating with vendors and contractors. You will collaborate with Operations, Networking, Controls, Security, and Commissioning teams to deliver safe, energy-efficient infrastructures that support AWS customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with project management concepts and leadership within a data center or critical infrastructure environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct interface with construction general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and closeout phases.
• Negotiate with general contractors and evaluate bids with detail and accuracy.
• Create construction project scope and requests for proposals.
• Perform financial analysis of construction.
• Manage construction projects for initiatives to increase data-center resiliency.
• Review electrical and mechanical designs for constructability and optimization.
• Manage construction documents including submittals, RFIs, changes, and invoicing.
• Ensure construction project quality control.
• Record and report key construction metrics to team and management.
• Drive teams to perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of equipment failures.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
