Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Construction Manager to lead construction projects across select AWS data centers. You will own scope, schedule, budget, and quality, interfacing with general contractors and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery.

Responsibilities include bid evaluation, RFIs, change orders, and constructability reviews of electrical and mechanical designs, with a focus on safety and compliance at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience moving new design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production.
• Experience in MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems.
• Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct interface with construction general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and closeout phases.
• Conduct negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids/proposals with detail and accuracy.
• Create construction project scope and requests for proposals.
• Perform financial analysis of construction.
• Manage construction projects for initiatives increasing data center resiliency.
• Conduct constructability reviews of electrical and mechanical designs for data centers.
• Manage construction documents including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and invoicing.
• Ensure construction project quality control.
