Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Datacenter Senior Account Manager to lead a strategic global data center account. You will serve as the primary customer interface, managing executive relationships worldwide while representing the full portfolio of Electric Power solutions and services.

This role requires extensive account management experience across data center applications, with travel up to 50% and complex negotiations to drive value for Caterpillar's Electric Power Division.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Electric Power & Data Center industry experience.
• Understanding of data center design topologies and Cat Electric Power product application within the data center industry desired.
• Previous field and/or account management experience with Caterpillar Dealers and Customers desired.
• Custom Packaging/System integration sales/marketing or engineering experience.
• Must be able to deal with sensitive issues, mentor and coach others on new methods.

Responsibilities

• Manage and meet Electric Power Division (EPD) business plan for assigned accounts, including revenue, price and volume.
• Manage assigned account’s RFP pipeline and translate into ABP/RBM process.
• Manage contracts including loyalty programs, master terms and conditions, and framework agreements with Legal Services support.
• Oversee onboarding for new dealers including bid package submittal, commissioning, aftermarket and related requirements.
• Develop coverage strategy to leverage resources and maximize Caterpillar revenue and profit.
• Coordinate with supply chain teams to meet customer needs for genset and packaged solutions.
• Manage customer annual business review and satisfaction metrics.
• Collaborate across diverse backgrounds and cultures to resolve differences.
• Stay compliant with industry trends, technology changes, and regulations affecting competition.
• Mentor and develop other Account Managers leading data center segment accounts.
