Job summary

Melaleuca is seeking a DAM Librarian to oversee a vast library of assets including photography, design files, marketing collateral, video content, and more. You will ensure accessible, well-organized assets across global markets to support creative, marketing, and international teams.

This role emphasizes developing taxonomy, metadata schemas, and robust asset governance, while coordinating with IT, marketing tech, and external DAM vendors to drive system improvements and efficient workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in library science, information science, or related field.
• Experience in digital asset management or similar role.
• Experience in taxonomy development and metadata management.
• Familiarity with creative operations, marketing, or publication management.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
• Excellent project management skills with ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail in file architecture.
• Outstanding communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate adoption of the new enterprise DAM system with stakeholders to establish best practices and workflows.
• Administer DAM user licensing including roles, permissions, and access controls globally.
• Maintain taxonomy system and metadata schemas for diverse brand portfolio and multi-market needs.
• Lead asset migrations, bulk uploads, and metadata normalization initiatives.
• Organize digital assets across all file types and formats.
• Train and support global teams across different time zones on DAM usage and best practices.
• Collaborate with creative teams to ensure assets are properly tagged, categorized, stored, and accessible.
• Monitor asset usage rights and expiration dates across global markets.
• Generate insights on asset utilization to optimize the digital asset strategy.
• Spearhead relationship with DAM vendor for issues, updates, and feature requests.
• Evaluate system upgrades, new features, and performance optimizations.
• Collaborate with IT and marketing tech teams to integrate DAM with project management systems via APIs.
