Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel in Seattle is seeking a Customs Systems & Processes Specialist to optimize import/export reconciliations and ensure CBP compliance. You will file reconciliation entries and analyze value variances, coordinating with customers and internal teams to maintain accurate data.

A U.S. Customs Broker license and 5+ years of experience are preferred. The role offers a dynamic global environment with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Accounting, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in customs compliance, import operations, or trade compliance.
• Working knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations (19 CFR), HTS classification, valuation methods, and reconciliation processes.
• Experience with CBP ACE portal and data analysis tools (Excel, ERP systems, trade software).
• Licensed U.S. Customs Broker required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file Customs Reconciliation entries in accordance with CBP regulations and company procedures.
• Perform variance analysis between declared and actual values related to assists, royalties, transfer pricing, and classification changes.
• Manage reconciliation timelines and maintain audit-ready documentation for all entries.
• Liaise with customer and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely data gathering.
• Maintain compliance with CBP's Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) and manage reconciliation flags within entry data.
• Support post-entry compliance reviews, internal audits, and CBP inquiries or audits as needed.
