Job summary

Expeditors is seeking a Logistics Coordinator in the Customs Brokerage department to ensure timely and compliant movement of freight and information. You will act as a liaison among customers, providers, and government agencies, coordinating customs clearance and transportation services to support uninterrupted supply chains.

Ideal candidates will have knowledge of customs brokerage and regulatory compliance, strong communication skills, and a detail-oriented, proactive approach to problem

Qualifications

• Knowledge of customs brokerage, international transportation, freight forwarding, or global logistics operations.
• Understanding of import and export documentation requirements and regulatory compliance.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with the capability to prioritize competing demands.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review, prepare, and process transportation, customs, and regulatory documentation, including air waybills, invoices, and customs entries.
• Prepare and submit customs entries while ensuring compliance with regulations and customer requirements.
• Coordinate transportation orders, freight bookings, and shipment scheduling for timely movement.
• Monitor shipment status and customs clearances; communicate updates and resolve issues with customers and service providers.
• Enter, update, and maintain shipment and customs information in operating systems.
• Dispatch freight promptly to prevent disruptions in customers' supply chains.
• Communicate with customers, vendors, airlines, trucking companies, customs authorities, and the Expeditors network.
• Review and monitor reports to identify improvements and support goals.
• Execute customer invoicing per SOPs, rate agreements, tariffs, and procedures.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and partners.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and government regulations.
