Job summary

U.S. Bank seeks a Global Head of Custody Operations to lead end‑to‑end custody and asset servicing across markets and currencies. You will drive real‑time operation models, automation, and resilience while managing relationships with sub‑custodians and regulators.

The role requires extensive experience in securities processing, risk and compliance, and program leadership to transform operating models and deliver best-in-class client service.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of financial services experience, with at least 10 years in leadership.
• Deep expertise across securities processing, settlement, corporate actions, income/tax processing, and other custody functions.
• Strong knowledge of OCC, DTC/DTCC, CSDR, and global market practice.
• Demonstrated experience leading transformation and automation programs to achieve process simplification and scalability.
• Experience managing operational budgets, workforce plans, capacity models, sourcing decisions, and productivity programs.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills with executive presence and client-centric mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the operational strategy and strategic vision for custody operations, aligning with business goals, client commitments, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead the transition from batch-based processing to real-time exception management and redesign workflows for compressed settlement timelines.
• Drive digital transformation—leveraging RPA, workflow automation, cloud, and AI to raise STP rates and reduce manual intervention.
• Oversee accurate processing of settlements, corporate actions, dividend/income collection, proxy voting, and account reconciliation across global markets.
• Manage the global sub-custodian network and third-party relationships, including due diligence and performance oversight.
• Own regulatory reporting obligations and support examinations, audits, and industry initiatives.
• Monitor KPIs and SLAs to track efficiency; inform resource allocation and investment priorities.
