Expeditors International is seeking a Corporate Counsel for Transactions - Business Enablement to join its Corporate Legal Department in Bellevue, WA. The role focuses on entity management, treasury operations, and litigation/dispute management within a Fortune 500 global logistics company.

You will advise on a broad range of commercial and governance matters, collaborating with Finance, Product, and Global Operations to mitigate risk while enabling business growth.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor, Bachelor of Laws, or equivalent degree.
• Licensed or authorized to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction and in good standing.
• 7+ years of combined legal experience in law firms, in-house, government, or equivalents.
• Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Experience working directly with business clients and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, research, drafting, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the global lead in Legal for all entity management matters.
• Partner with Finance, Product and Global Business Operations to drive continuous improvement and integrity in entity management, licenses, and approvals.
• Provide practical legal guidance to cross-functional teams.
• Identify legal and commercial risks and develop practical, business-oriented solutions.
• Draft, review, revise, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements.
• Conduct legal research and develop guidance, templates, playbooks, and other resources.
• Manage relationships with outside counsel and other legal service providers.
• Contribute to Legal Department initiatives and continuous improvement.
• Provide cross-functional support inside and outside the Legal Department.
