Job summary

Expeditors International of Washington, Inc. seeks a seasoned Corporate Counsel to support Real Estate and Global Sourcing in a fast-paced in-house environment. You will draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, advise on risk, and partner with landlords, vendors, and cross-functional teams worldwide.

Applicants should have 7+ years of legal practice, a JD, and active admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

Qualifications

• JD and active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 7+ years of legal practice with deep experience in commercial real estate and technology matters.
• Prior in-house experience preferred; law firm experience welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Handle real estate leasing, amendments, estoppels, and construction build-outs.
• Draft, negotiate, and advise on SaaS, AI, developer, and IT vendor agreements.
• Lead or support commercial procurement and capital project contracting.
• Advise on transportation agreements with global air and ocean carriers.
• Provide clear, business-centric legal guidance to internal clients.
• Partner cross-functionally with legal, procurement, and operations teams worldwide.
• Assisting with outside counsel management as part of the Legal Department’s strategic initiatives.
