Job summary

ChargePoint seeks a technically deep Corporate Controller in Campbell, CA to lead global accounting operations and close processes. This hands-on leadership role combines accounting rigor with systems fluency, AI-driven automation, and a track record of building high-performance finance teams.

You will own R2R, treasury, tax, and SOX programs, partner with FP&A and CAO, and drive process improvements across Oracle NetSuite and related systems. Strong SEC experience and Big 4 background preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is required.
• Extensive experience in accounting/finance at publicly traded companies with senior leadership exposure.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and consolidation/intercompany accounting; SOX experience essential.

Responsibilities

• Own the global close (R2R) with a focus on cycle-time reduction and accuracy.
• Oversee all corporate accounting operations including consolidations, intercompany eliminations, and foreign currency translation.
• Manage SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) and global statutory reporting; lead technical accounting reviews.
• Architect and lead automation initiatives across the R2R stack using AI tools.
• Design and maintain a SOX 302/404 framework and manage external audit relationships.
• Lead global treasury operations: cash positioning, liquidity management, and FX hedging.
• Oversee tax function including transfer pricing, income tax compliance, and VAT/GST as applicable.
• Partner with FP&A and CAO on cash flow planning, capital allocation, and liquidity modeling.
• Drive finance transformation projects, ERP optimization (Oracle NetSuite) and close automation.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing global R2R team and contribute to SEC disclosures.
