Job summary

CC Power seeks a Senior Controller to lead accounting, financial reporting, treasury, and financial planning across the organization. This role provides essential leadership depth and ensures strong internal controls, GAAP compliance, and close processes.

The position emphasizes improving business processes, adopting AI-enabled workflow automation, and delivering actionable insights to executive leadership. On-site work in Kalkaska, MI with relocation assistance provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience.
• Experience in construction/utility/project-based industries preferred.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and internal controls expertise.
• Experience with Agentic AI and workflow automation.
• Proficiency with Sage 300 CRE and other ERP systems.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct all accounting, financial reporting, treasury, and financial planning activities.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial modeling.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and general ledger.
• Develop and maintain financial controls, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor project costing, profitability, and WIP reporting.
• Lead audits and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Prepare executive-level reporting and strategic recommendations.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, and capital investments as needed.
• Mentor and develop accounting and finance staff.
• All other duties as assigned.
