Job summary

Alpaca seeks a Director of Global Corporate Actions Operations and Oversight to own the function end-to-end across U.S. and international markets.

This leader will drive daily production, supervisory controls, team performance and the scalable operating model for Corporate Actions globally. You will lead the organization through dividends, splits, mergers, elections and other events, implementing robust controls and ensuring timely, accurate processing across systems and custodians.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Corporate Actions experience in broker-dealer or comparable financial institution.
• Prior leadership experience managing a Corporate Actions function.
• Deep knowledge of mandatory and voluntary Corporate Actions events.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. market infrastructure including DTCC/DTC processes.
• International Corporate Actions experience across multiple markets and custodians.
• Understanding of how Corporate Actions bookings flow through books, positions and front-office systems.
• Experience operating in retail brokerage or clearing environments with pre-reconciliation controls.
• Proven experience designing maker-checker controls, reconciliations and risk frameworks.
• Ownership of high-risk production functions with remediation outcomes.
• Strong incident-management discipline and remediation track record.
• Ability to partner with Product and Engineering to translate risk into system requirements.
• Clear, concise communicator with senior stakeholders and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Lead Corporate Actions organization across mandatory and voluntary events (dividends, splits, mergers, exchanges, elections).
• Establish and own supervisor framework, maker-checker standards, controls and evidentiary review.
• Ensure timely processing with supervisory and system checks; manage incidents end-to-end.
• Own material Corporate Actions incidents from containment to permanent remediation.
• Partner with Security Master, Trading, Ledger, Product and Engineering to reduce failures.
• Drive automation, observability and tooling to scale processing.
• Build a common global operating model across markets, custodians and currencies.
• Develop the Corporate Actions team and reduce tribal knowledge reliance.
