Job summary

Alpaca, a US-headquartered brokerage infrastructure leader, seeks a Director of Global Corporate Actions Operations and Oversight. You will own the end-to-end function across U.S.

and international markets, managing daily production, supervisory controls, incident management, and scalability through system improvements. Lead a cross-functional team, drive automation, and establish a global operating model with strong risk controls to prevent customer impact.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Corporate Actions experience within a broker-dealer, clearing firm, custodian, bank, or comparable financial institution.
• Experience leading a Corporate Actions or securities operations function.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. market infrastructure including DTCC/DTC Corporate Actions processes.
• International Corporate Actions experience across multiple markets, custodians, currencies, and local conventions.
• Proven ability to design and supervise maker-checker controls, reconciliations, and exception-management processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead Alpaca’s Corporate Actions organization across mandatory and voluntary events (dividends, splits, mergers, exchanges, tenders, rights, redemptions, spin-offs, elections, and lifecycle changes).
• Establish and own the supervisory framework with maker-checker standards, control gates, reconciliations, escalation thresholds, and review evidence.
• Ensure accurate, timely processing and supervise events with proper checks; own incidents from containment to remediation.
• Oversee end-to-end bookings across Back Office, Front Office, Security Master, Ledger, Trading, and customer balances.
• Develop and strengthen global operating model across markets, custodians, currencies, tax regimes, deadlines, and conventions.
• Drive automation, observability, reconciliation, and tooling to reduce manual processing and scale operations.
• Build and lead a global Corporate Actions team with succession planning and reduced tribal knowledge.
• Align with Product and Engineering to translate operational risk into scalable system requirements.
