Job summary

Alpaca, a US-headquartered brokerage infrastructure leader, seeks a Director for Global Corporate Actions Operations and Oversight. You will own end-to-end processing across U.S. and international markets, establish strong supervisory controls, and drive automation to scale the function globally.

You will partner with Security Master, Trading, Ledger, Product, Engineering, and Operations to reduce risk and improve front-to-back controls, while building a robust team and operating model.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Corporate Actions experience in financial institutions.
• Proven leadership of a Corporate Actions or securities operations function.
• Deep knowledge of mandatory and voluntary Corporate Actions.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. market infrastructure (DTCC/DTC).
• Meaningful international Corporate Actions experience across markets.
• Understanding of how Corporate Actions bookings flow through systems.
• Experience with pre-processing and strong pre-reconciliation controls.
• Proven design and supervision of maker-checker and risk controls.
• Ability to communicate with senior leadership, auditors, and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Lead Corporate Actions across mandatory and voluntary events globally.
• Establish supervisory framework with maker-checker standards and controls.
• Ensure timely processing with required supervisory checks.
• Own incidents from containment to remediation and permanent fixes.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Operations to reduce failures.
• Drive automation, observability, and tooling to scale operations.
• Create a common global operating model across markets and custodians.
• Develop the Corporate Actions team and succession planning.
