Job summary

Det-Tronics, a leader in industrial life safety, seeks a Global Controller based in Minneapolis, MN. You will lead accounting for the business, ensuring US GAAP compliance and accurate monthly closes while partnering with Spectrum Safety Solutions and private equity stakeholders.

The role requires 10+ years in finance/accounting with global exposure, CPA preferred, and strong Excel skills. Occasional travel to other locations is possible in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment with competitive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; CPA preferred.
• 10+ years accounting/finance with global companies; 5+ years audit experience with a large US firm preferred.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP; ability to direct annual audits.
• Knowledge of US and international tax regulations and compliance reporting.
• Experience with financial consolidation and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and financial regulations across all entities.
• Provide monthly financial updates to senior management and parent entity.
• Ensure effective monthly close and manage year-end audit.
• Develop, implement and maintain accounting policies, controls and guidelines.
• Lead monthly and quarterly reporting in line with US GAAP.
• Coordinate with FP&A and leadership for ongoing and ad hoc requests.
• Oversee global accounting policies and tax filings.
• Support business development activities and due diligence.
