Job summary

Det-Tronics, a $200M global technology leader in industrial life safety, is seeking a Procurement Manager in Minneapolis, MN. You will lead a team of buyers, partner with Planning, Operations, Engineering, and Finance, and drive procurement excellence to support growth and customer commitments.

You will shape supplier relationships, manage risk, and improve material planning and data governance to strengthen supply chain resilience and profitability across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5+ years of procurement, supply chain, or materials management experience withing a manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of direct people leadership experience with responsibility for coaching, developing, and leading procurement or supply chain teams.
• Demonstrated experience managing supplier relationships, material availability, and supply chain risk in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage data to drive decisions and continuous improvement.
• High degree of proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to work in person in a standard office environment.

Responsibilities

• Leads, coaches, and develops a team of buyers.
• Serves as the primary escalation point for supply disruptions and material shortages.
• Owns procurement operational cadence by facilitating buyer stand-up meetings and cross-functional reviews.
• Partners with Planning, SIOP, Operations, Engineering and Finance to align material strategies with demand.
• Manages inventory planning parameters and procurement master data to optimize working capital.
• Leads continuous improvement of procurement systems and processes.
• Supports strategic initiatives including new product introductions and lifecycle management.
