Alchemy is seeking a Controller to build and lead the end-to-end accounting function. You will oversee core operations, strengthen controls, and transform complex financial information into clear insights for leadership, the Board, and investors.

The role requires deep technical accounting expertise, strong business judgment, and a hands-on leadership style. You will set direction, partner across the company, and drive improvements in policy, processes, and systems including NetSuite, Orb, Zip,

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership roles.
• Deep technical accounting knowledge including US GAAP and complex transactions.
• Audit readiness experience and ability to prepare for future audits and controls documentation.

Aufgaben

• Set strategy and long-term direction for accounting function, systems, and team.
• Oversee routine financial operations: GL, AP, AR, and reporting; manage multi-entity consolidations.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
• Ensure financial statements comply with US GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Develop scalable accounting infrastructure and optimize financial tech stack.
• Lead tax planning, compliance, and coordination with internal and external advisors.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisers, and service providers.
• Present reporting for leadership, Board, and investors; support strategic decisions.
• Lead, develop, and scale a high-performing accounting team.
