Job summary

Alchemy is seeking a Controller to build and lead the end-to-end accounting function for a high-growth blockchain platform. You will supervise a growing team, strengthen controls, and translate complex financial data into clear insights for executives and the board.

The role covers general ledger, AP/AR, multi-entity and multi-currency consolidations (including Romania), tax planning, audits, and the ongoing modernization of our financial systems like NetSuite, Orb, Zip, and Ramp.

Qualifications

• Set strategy for the accounting function and team.
• Oversee general ledger, AP, AR, and multi-entity consolidations.
• Ensure US GAAP compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Develop scalable accounting systems, policies, and controls.
• Audit readiness with documentation, controls and reporting infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Set long-term direction for accounting function and team.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Architect scalable financial systems and optimize core tech stack (NetSuite, Orb, Zip, Ramp).
• Develop policies and controls to promote accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Sales, People, Engineering, and Product.
