Job summary

MarqVision seeks a senior accounting leader to build and run the company’s accounting function from the ground up in a fast-growing startup. You will design scalable processes, establish day-to-day operations, and safeguard the company’s financial health as it scales globally.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, deep ASC 606 and SaaS metrics expertise, and a track record of building and mentoring accounting teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA mandatory.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience with ASC 606 and SaaS metrics.
• Experience building and scaling accounting operations: policies, systems, and audits.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones.
• Proven experience building, mentoring, and scaling accounting teams.
• Clear, concise communication; ability to explain complex topics to non-finance audiences.
• Bias to action in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead global accounting operations, including foreign subsidiary management, transfer pricing, FX exposure, and multi-currency reporting.
• Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, including global consolidation and intercompany eliminations.
• Own technical accounting policy, especially revenue recognition (ASC 606) for evolving and hybrid models.
• Oversee general ledger activities, journal entries, and reconciliations across US and international entities.
• Prepare internal reporting and ad hoc financial analyses for leadership decisions.
• Oversee tax compliance and regulatory filings with external advisors.
• Own roadmap for financial systems, including ERP implementation.
• Lead audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Build, mentor, and scale the accounting team as the company grows.
