Job summary

Davies North America is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead full-cycle accounting operations, ensuring U.S. GAAP compliance and strong internal controls. You will manage distributed teams, drive automation, and collaborate with FP&A on budgeting and forecasting.

The role requires CPA, a strong accounting foundation, and experience in multi-entity environments. Reporting to senior leadership, you will influence risk and performance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA certification required.
• Progressive accounting experience including leadership or controller level capacity.
• Experience managing remote/global accounting teams preferred.
• Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal control frameworks (SOX exposure a plus).
• Proven success leading complex month-end and year-end close processes for multi-entity environments.
• Strong technical systems proficiency in ERP (Sage) and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle accounting operations: GL, consolidations, intercompany eliminations, reconciliations, accruals, and close.
• Oversee financial reporting to leadership and clients, ensuring U.S. GAAP compliance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting teams across time zones.
• Own internal control environment: design and monitor accounting policies and frameworks.
• Manage audit and tax relationships with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
• Partner with FP&A and operations on budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
• Drive process improvements and automation in reporting workflows.
• Lead system implementations or transitions for ERP and reporting platforms.
• Provide strategic accounting insight to executives on risks and opportunities.
• Support M&A integrations, restructuring, and global expansion.
