Job summary

Reachdesk, a global SaaS gifting platform, is seeking an exceptional Controller to own the accounting function from close through consolidated US GAAP financials. You will report to the CFO, build the team, and drive automation across a multi-currency, multi-entity environment.

You’ll work with leaders across the business on strategic initiatives, ensuring accuracy and strong controls while accelerating the close and improving processes with NetSuite and SuiteBilling.

Qualifications

• 8+ years hands-on accounting experience, ideally in a multi-entity setup.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge, ASC 606, and intercompany guidance.
• Experience owning a multi-entity, multi-currency close and consolidations.
• Leading external audits and statutory reporting experience.
• Proven ability to research accounting positions and communicate recommendations.
• Cross-functional leadership and credibility with the business.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close and US GAAP consolidation across six entities, including intercompany, FX, and translation.
• Own balance sheet integrity with proper reconciliations and reviews.
• Lead technical accounting analysis on revenue recognition, principal vs agent, wallet balances, and breakage.
• Lead group and UK statutory audits from planning through sign-off.
• Own and improve internal controls and segregation of duties.
• Manage corporate tax, US sales tax, and UK/EU VAT with external advisers.
• Collaborate with leaders on projects requiring finance involvement.
• Improve accounting processes and automation in NetSuite integrations.
• Lead and mentor the international accounting team toward high performance.
