Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment in San Mateo, CA is seeking a Global Content Communications Senior Specialist to shape how PlayStation collaborates with game publishers and developers and to lead content creation for third-party titles on PlayStation.

You will plan, produce, and manage content for PlayStation.Blog, social channels, and other Sony-owned platforms, building trusted relationships with publishers and internal teams while expanding campaigns for global audiences.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in social media management and content creation.
• Experience in video game industry preferred; strong background in social media, editorial/content creation, communications, publisher relations, marketing, or third-party games is valuable.
• Strong understanding of major social platforms and content formats.
• Deep knowledge of the video game industry, publishers, developers, franchises, and trends.
• Strong editorial and creative instincts; ability to identify engaging game or developer stories.
• Proactive in pitching ideas and building relationships with internal and external partners.
• Experience creating content for global audiences and adapting campaigns across international markets.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; collaborative in fast-moving environments.
• Familiarity with Slack, MS 365, Google Workspace; knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop is a plus.
• BS preferred in PR/Communication/Marketing/Film; strong portfolio acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain deep knowledge of upcoming games and publisher plans.
• Develop and pitch ideas for PlayStation Blog, social media, video, and other Sony-owned channels.
• Shape content plans around major third-party campaigns and identify resonant moments.
• Pitch and develop content opportunities including game reveals, interviews, hands-on coverage, and original social content.
• Develop scalable processes to organize upcoming third-party campaigns and content opportunities.
• Partner with Sony Interactive Third-Party Marketing, Games Account Management, and other internal teams.
• Connect third-party content opportunities with broader PlayStation priorities.
• Develop content plans with international social media teams in mind; collaborate with regional teammates.
• Share content performance and insights with publishers to demonstrate value.
