Job summary

Amazon's Global Engineering Services (GES) NA Startup Engineering Risk Management team seeks a Construction Manager to lead complex material handling system projects from design through handover. You will own schedules, coordinate vendors, and drive safety and quality across cross-functional teams.

Expect 50–60% travel nationwide, relocation assistance, and office-based work when not traveling. You will liaise with internal customers and partners to ensure on-time delivery of scalable,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as an Architect, Engineer, Construction Manager, or in a related construction discipline.
• 5+ years of project management experience spanning design phase through construction completion and operational handover.
• 5+ years of experience negotiating construction, procurement, and/or labor contracts.
• 5+ years of proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Building Information Modeling (BIM), and scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project, or similar).
• Position includes travel up to 60% (Nationwide). Travel involves air travel to regional airports and driving to site locations. A valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage lifecycle of complex projects from design through handover.
• Coordinate with internal/external teams and vendors to meet milestones.
• Set project priorities, establish milestones, and drive schedules.
• Lead execution of systems and automated equipment designs per standards.
• Communicate project status and risk mitigation plans clearly.
