Job summary

Amazon's Global Engineering Services (GES) NA Startup Engineering Risk Management team seeks a Construction Manager to lead cross-functional projects from design through hand-off for sortation and distribution solutions. You will manage schedules, coordinate internal and external stakeholders, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while mitigating risks.

The role requires up to 50% regional travel, with relocation support as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of project management experience spanning design through construction and handover
5+ years negotiating construction, procurement, and/or labor contracts
5+ years of proficiency with AutoCAD and/or BIM, and scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project, or similar)
Experience across multiple construction disciplines is preferred

Responsibilities

Manage lifecycle of challenging projects with internal and external teams
Lead engineering reviews and influence system architecture and facility processes
Set project priorities, establish milestones, and drive schedules to meet deadlines
Lead execution efforts delivering systems and automated equipment per standards
Communicate project status, risk analysis, and mitigation plans to leadership
