Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Construction Manager in Global Engineering Services, NA Startup ERM, to lead complex distribution projects including new builds and retrofits. This role requires coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to deliver on schedule and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have extensive PM, architecture/engineering experience and proficiency with AutoCAD/BIM, and scheduling tools, with up to 50% travel. Relocation assistance may be provided.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of project management, real estate development, architecture/design experience.
• Bachelor's degree
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience as an Architect, Engineer, Construction Manager, or in a related construction discipline
• 7+ years of proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Building Information Modeling (BIM), and scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project, or similar)

Responsibilities

• Lead lifecycle management of challenging construction projects, owning objectives and targets.
• Participate in firm engineering reviews and influence system architecture and facility processes.
• Coordinate with internal teams, stakeholders and vendors to set priorities, milestones, and schedules.
• Lead execution efforts delivering systems and automated equipment designs per standards.
• Document meetings and decisions; ensure alignment with internal and external partners.
• Communicate project status, risk analysis and mitigation plans to leadership.
• Articulate system and equipment designs to internal customers and partner teams.
• Manage change orders, purchase orders, and invoice approvals.
• Build strong relationships across multiple projects with stakeholders.
• Identify and lead process improvement initiatives across Engineering and cross-teams.
• Travel up to 50% domestically with variable intensity; weekends travel limited.
