Cengage Group in the United States is seeking a Staff Accountant, Global Accounting & Reporting to join the Consolidations & Group Reporting team. You will contribute to the monthly close, prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and support financial reporting in a global environment.

This role emphasizes high‑quality data, cross‑functional collaboration, and process improvements, including participation in BlackLine tasks and audit support.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of accounting, financial reporting, or audit experience.
• Public accounting experience and experience supporting publicly traded companies preferred.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow).
• Intermediate Excel proficiency; detail oriented and well organized.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced close environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; cross‑functional collaboration.
• Interest in consolidations and financial reporting.

Mansioni

• Support financial close processes by preparing journals and account reconciliations.
• Perform balance sheet analysis, run reports, and follow up on open close items.
• Maintain documentation supporting reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Conduct analytical reviews of reconciliation populations for quality.
• Assist with BlackLine tasks and reconciliation workstreams.
• Perform routine data validations and system tie-outs.
• Support audit requests with reports and documentation.
• Coordinate with accounting and finance teams to obtain supporting information.
