Cengage Group is seeking a Staff Accountant, Global Accounting & Reporting, to join the Consolidations & Group Reporting team. You will engage in high‑level financial reporting and consolidation in a global company environment.

This role emphasizes hands‑on involvement with journal entries, balance sheet analysis, and audits, with opportunities to drive accuracy and timeliness across the close process.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of accounting, financial reporting, or audit experience.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial statements.
• Excel proficiency.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced close.
• Strong written and verbal communication; cross-functional collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare journals and account reconciliations for close.
• Perform balance sheet analysis and run close-related reports.
• Maintain documentation for reconciliations and reporting.
• Support audit requests with reports and documentation.
• Assist with BlackLine tasks and reconciliation workstreams.
• Coordinate with accounting and finance teams to resolve items.
• Contribute to consolidations and financial reporting activities.
