Cengage Group is seeking a Staff Accountant, Global Accounting & Reporting, to play an essential role in our Consolidations & Group Reporting team. This position offers hands-on involvement in a global company environment with high-level financial reporting and consolidation responsibilities.

You will support close processes, balance sheet analyses, and reconciliation work, contributing to accurate financial reporting and audit readiness.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar area or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of accounting, financial reporting, or audit experience.
• Public accounting experience, audit/support for publicly traded companies strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow).
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced close and reporting environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate with accounting, finance, and cross-functional teams.
• Curiosity about consolidations and financial reporting.

Mansioni

• Assist with financial close processes by preparing journals and reconciliations.
• Perform balance sheet analysis, run reports, follow up on close items.
• Maintain documentation for reconciliations, reporting, and close activities.
• Conduct analytical reviews of reconciliation populations for quality reviews.
• Assist with BlackLine tasks and reconciliation workstreams.
• Perform routine financial-data validations and system tie-outs.
• Support audit requests with reports and documentation.
• Research differences and document findings for review.
• Coordinate with accounting and finance to obtain supporting information.
• Assist with BlackLine issue resolution and action item tracking.
• Support other consolidations and financial-reporting activities.
